Park Structural is seeking applicants for mid-level engineers with 4+ years of experience who works well Park Structural is seeking applicants for a senior-level engineer with 8+ years of experience who works well in a team environment and have work experience in the building construction industry in structural engineering. The candidate should have experience designing and managing medium to large-sized projects in various market sectors (K-12, multi-family, commercial, industrial, etc.). The candidate should also have extensive experience with company and project billables, client interaction, personnel management.
As a new hire you will first learn the company’s work flow, then support in leading the office in marketing, project deliveries, office management, and company growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the company in completion of projects by coordinating, planning, organizing and completing required tasks.
- Collaborating with other project managers and project engineers to plan work schedules.
- Communicate clearly with clients to define and fulfill project scope.
- Meet with clients for new work opportunities
- Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all building types.
- Review design performed by project engineers.
- Write draft proposals for new work opportunities for review and submission.
- Support owners in leading the growth of the respective office location.
Qualifications include:
- 8+ years of relevant technical and work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- PE in the states of VA, MD, and/or DC (SE preferred if licensed in qualified states).
- Advanced knowledge of analytical and production software.
- Advanced knowledge of materials including: structural steel, connection engineering, concrete (mild and post-tensioned), masonry, lumber and composite timber.
- Experience in leading a project team and/or department.
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites within the PA/MD/VA region on occasion.
